you grow up by old rule. when you break strict rules you choose the switch with which you’ll be beaten. poor child, too clever for your own good ------ into imposter’s hand you deliver a switch that’s light and narrow. but laughters catches your ears and you’re taught that small does not mean harmless, blood is drawn, eyes water. more lashes than usual sting at bare back. every strike a lesson about spirit of the law and direct interpretation.

and when you stand with your TRUE father, a man who’d replaced imposter and offered honeyed words and divine meaning you carry with you intimate knowledge. there is stark contrast between what is said and what is meant but in HIM all things are true. all knowledge condensed to singular, holy purpose. into his hand you deliver your whole being.
