An Evolving Relationship
25 years ago a trade show specialising in road safety and management moved from a hotel bedroom in Brighton to Olympia. Since then, it has evolved into Europe’s most important event of its kind, moved its home to the NEC, attracts worldwide interest, and government representation. It truly has become the jewel in the crown of owner Brintex.
25 years ago we were first commissioned by this show, Traffex, to write press releases that were either hand delivered or posted to press contacts that had been hand pulled from an annual print directory…Tippex was the tool of choice until all parties had signed off press release approval.
Yesterday, as part of an unbroken relationship with Traffex, we agreed the social media element for this year’s event - bloggers were identified, tone of voice agreed and the whole campaign will be integrated into the PR offering. The chosen tools of our trade are now online, digital, social….whatever did happen to Tippex ? Survival of the fittest still rules...
