Highways England to showcase at Traffex 2017
Europe’s leading traffic management exhibition, Traffex 2017, announces Highways England’s attendance at April event
Today, Highways England, the government company in charge of operating, maintaining and improving England’s roads has announced its attendance at the biennial Traffex 2017 exhibition; the leading event in traffic and road management in the UK running from 4th – 6th April 2017 at the Birmingham NEC.
The announcement follows the recent release of the event programme which showcases over 350 exhibitors at the highly anticipated international traffic management, road safety and highways maintenance exhibition. Visitors will have the chance to interact with technologies that are set to shape UK roads and the transport network of the future. The exhibition will bring together 10,000 industry experts to view everything from software systems to cutting edge safety solutions.
Visitors will find Highways England on F80 stand, where they can meet the experts face-to-face. Additionally, the company’s CEO. Jim O’Sullivan, will give the keynote speech ‘Delivering a Strategic Approach’ on Tuesday 4th April at 10:15am in the Traffex Theatre.

An Evolving Relationship
25 years ago a trade show specialising in road safety and management moved from a hotel bedroom in Brighton to Olympia. Since then, it has evolved into Europe’s most important event of its kind, moved its home to the NEC, attracts worldwide interest, and government representation. It truly has become the jewel in the crown of owner Brintex.
25 years ago we were first commissioned by this show, Traffex, to write press releases that were either hand delivered or posted to press contacts that had been hand pulled from an annual print directory…Tippex was the tool of choice until all parties had signed off press release approval.
Yesterday, as part of an unbroken relationship with Traffex, we agreed the social media element for this year’s event - bloggers were identified, tone of voice agreed and the whole campaign will be integrated into the PR offering. The chosen tools of our trade are now online, digital, social….whatever did happen to Tippex ? Survival of the fittest still rules...
