🦅 BRIONES CLAN INVASION: The La Virginia Resort Takeover!🌊
You guys, the Briones Clan (aka my mom’s side of the family) finally had our much-anticipated outing, and let me tell you... it was pure, unadulterated chaos in the best way possible! 🎉
We pulled up to La Virginia Resort, and the entrance alone was giving major epic movie vibes.I mean, there are massive, majestic eagle statues literally guarding the gate! The moment we drove under that arch, I just knew we were in for a wildly entertaining day.
The weather was absolutely perfect! The sun was out, the lighting was crisp, and the vibes were immaculate. We spent some time just walking around the resort grounds, which had these really cool bamboo-style cabins lining the pathways. We obviously had to stop for some golden-hour group selfies, and honestly, the family was serving looks!
Of course, it wouldn't be a true Briones family outing without some absolute clownery on my part. Let me present to you my personal highlight: me, fully embracing the weirdness, passionately hugging a giant, slightly terrifying caveman statue.
Why? I genuinely don't know, but the intrusive thoughts won and it felt right at the time HAHAHA.
And lastly, what is a Filipino family outing without the holy trinity: swimming, eating, and aggressive karaoke? 🎤 Catch me fresh out of the water, still wrapped in my green towel, but already gripping that microphone for dear life because the concert simply never stops. Whether I'm in a classroom with my friends or at a resort with my aunts and cousins, if there is a mic available, I will be taking it.
Overall, a 1000/10 day. My social battery is completely drained, my voice is probably gone again, but making these crazy, hilarious memories with the Briones fam is completely unmatched.
Already recovering in bed, but I can't wait for the next one! ✨
