Reminders: Bristlefrost and Rootspring are both trans! Just in opposite directions :)
Rootspring's character arc is getting overhauled, as is Bristlefrost's. Rootspring's arc is about learning to appreciate those around you and being true to yourself rather than living up to expectations, as well as being thankful for those in your life you may not understand. Bristlefrost's is about burnout and being a people pleaser, that sometimes a more quiet, "boring" life may be what you need rather than the excitement of a more chaotic position, as well as how much toxic people can have an effect on how we treat others. Bristlefrost is also no longer "boy crazy", but rather, actively wants to become a leader.
She gets a LOT more bonding time as just friends with both Root and Needle, they're both equally viable candidates! She still saves Root's life though!
Needleclaw has Sister powers, and is deaf. She is just as important as Rootspring in WCR!TBC, though more restricted due to her having more intensive Warrior training, as she doesn't want to be a Hunter.
