Working on updating pretty much all of my characters. Some got very little updated and others got a pretty big redo. Overall I think they’re way more appealing and cohesive, and I’m getting better at drawing tabbies and torties

Antagonist

Bristlekit, along with their brother Yarrowkit, was born not long after the fall of Sprinstar and rise of Willowstar. They had a good relationship with their mother and brother and were just as happy and playful as any other kit. They were also good friends with their denmate Coyotekit.

Unfortunately, Dandeliontail was weakening as a queen due to Willowstar’s brutality and near starvation of the queens and elders. She was often confronted by him for minor mistakes or for irritating him, but she always took it with no complaint to protect her kits. One day, when Willowstar was being particularly cruel, Yarrowkit stood up for his mother. Refusing to back down, he angered the leader to his breaking point, and Willowstar attacked him, beating him and tossing him around until he was dead. Devastated, Dandeliontail became reclusive and unresponsive to other cats. Eaglefeather took pity on the surviving family, and moved her to the elder’s den, letting Bristlekit nurse with the other queens.

Bristlekit was enraged by the events, seeing their leader as a monster. They became close to Eaglefeather after she showed them kindness, and spent a lot of time with her. Eaglefeather shared their beliefs on Willowstar, and often talked about the future together. When Bristlekit was made an apprentice, they were given to Eaglefeather, letting them become even more close. Now Bristlepaw acts like they are attached to Eaglefeather at the hip, much to the dismay of their once friend Coyotepaw, who they now ignore. Bristlepaw constantly tries to prove their loyalty to their mentor and how strong they have become, and how one day they will take revenge for their brother and mother.
