Call to Bristolians!

Soooo recently things haven't been going so well. My caravan got stolen, my (ex) boyfriends boat sank and it's getting pretty fuckin' chilly out there!

If anyone can help me and my dog out with somewhere to live, get in touch. I'm still open to caravans and boats but maybe of the less moldy kind since im recovering from pneumonia.

Is Bristol coworking heaven?

According to its Wikipedia entry, Bristol is one of the warmest cities in the UK. It is the alleged birthplace of the (beloved) Banksy and of course the setting of E4’s teen phenomenon Skins.

Ask someone what Bristol makes them think of and they might say something like ‘cool’ or ‘young’ or ‘sunny’ or Georgian architecture or local beers. Russell Howard, Airbus, AXA, BBC, Environment Agency, Hewlett Packard, Lloyds TSB, Ministry of Defence and over 25% of the world's natural history films call their home Bristol. As if all that’s not enough, this South West hotspot is known for its Green credentials.

Bristol is also a creative hub; famous for arts, music and film. Though the city lost out to Liverpool in the battle for 2008 European Capital of Culture, J K Rowling, Damien Hurst and of course Carol Vorderman have all called it home at some point, 

When it comes to industry, media makes Bristol stand out but the city also counts aerospace, defence, IT and financial sectors as making up its business scene. Tourism is also pretty important to the hilly city. In 2009 Bristol was named a top ten city for by international travel publishers Dorling Kindersley in their Eyewitness series of guides for young adults.

That mix of industries and crowd of young, ambitious creatives might mean that Bristol lends itself perfectly to coworking. What do you think?
