This morning my mom left to return to our second home, it was so early in the morning we all woke up crusty eyes, I barely saw her face, as I sat up in bed to watch her get her things together. The faint sound of my brother making coffee downstairs filled my thoughts. She leans in and kisses me goodbye and I hold her hand as long as i could. Suddenly, I wish I talked to her more before she left. Asked her more, shared with her more, gave her more somehow. A week seems so long, but it was too short.
May Allah bless us with more moments so I do not regret the words that have not left my lips. May Allah bless you with a safe flight home, a safe journey home, a restful sleep home and health. Ameen.
