I always do love reading supercorp domestic or family aus and you know why? Because Lena always thinks she's gonna turn out like the rest of her family and be evil or crazy because that's why Luthors are, right? But honestly she's the Luthor that will break the cycle. She's the Luthor that will share her home with a Super and she's the Luthor that will finally be happy. She's capable of such love if only people would give her a chance and I find that the way you write redemption is something I can actually relate and feel for. Both Kara and Lena made mistakes, both were hurt and it wasn't just a simple case of lying by omission for them because they're both in love whether they know it or not and thatswhat makes the betrayal so much more than it already is.
And for Kara it hits different because what she wants is someone who is a partner and someone who understands and loves her just the same. That's one of the reason why she was with Mon-el. But Lena is literally all that Kara is looking for an more and I actually feel this from all your fics. The way you write the realizations of their feelings and the way they confess (I re-read with the birds I'll share this lonely view for the fifth time now and wow...) Kara was afraid to tell Lena she's supergirl because she doesn't want to lose Lena. Lena who loves Kara as she is, that *just* Kara Danvers is *enough* for Lena when the whole world is thinking of Supergirl (Except Alex but she's her sister) And Lena who doesn't hesitate to shield Kara with her own body if it gets down to it because she wants nothing more than to protect Kara. Honestly I don't know how Kara didn't fall in love sooner.
I do love fic moments where Kara teaches Lena krpytonian or if they have kids, teach them about Krypton because now Lena isn't just a partner but someone that shares a little piece of Krypton that Kara carries in her heart. Kinda poetic in a way, her home planet carried within the person who Kara feels most at home with. (You illustrated this in hollow talk but in a darker way and I frankly can't get enough of it.)
I'll never quite understand how CW dropped the ball on this one but I'm eternally grateful great writers like yourself is able to capture what made many of us fall in love with supercorp, put them into words that I could only dream about and give them the happy ending they deserve.
This got long but I just watched a compilation of supercorp moments mere seconds after finishing a fic of yours and it just brought some emotions to the surface.
