There was still something about this place he couldn’t wrap his head around, why choose him? Out of everyone else, why did it have to be the Leader? It could have been someone else, but at least he would have kept the team together. With him not being there, would it really take an effect of what his friends are up to? Are they really doing well without him? They probably are doing much better; that’s what Dwight wants to believe. They all had amazing and unique skills to keep themselves out of harms way. Unlike himself, Dwight was usually there to try and keep the team together. They can still do that without him...
Now wasn’t the time to self loathe, all of that just blocks the thought of one thing; if Dwight is able to come to this place, there’s a chance that a killer could come in as well.
Wondering through the forest in Cotes may have been an odd choice, but accepting the new reality would take a bit of time to get use to. Seeing people wondering around like any normal day was odd for him. Dwight really is the odd one out. For now, it would be best to come around to all this little by little. For now, it would be best to have some time to himself. Time to reel in everything that’s going on. He felt like a mouse in a maze trap. Walking in a little deeper into the woods, his mind wonders off for just a bit, until a certain humming catches his ear. As if the melody playing could have been one of comfort, but for Dwight, it was one that struck fear into his heart.
Dwight wanted to believe he was just hearing things, that the possibility of someone, like the killers he and his friends had face, was not even possible to see them here. His heart was beating quickly, he couldn’t help but run and hide around a bush behind a tree, he couldn’t see where the humming was coming from. Instinct kicked in as if he was in another trail. There was no doubt in his mind, his panic and frantic mind.
The humming that could only belong to The Huntress.
