Scenario: You're one of Connor's best friends- his only friend, in fact. You snuck through his window as you do every Friday, only to find him drunk and sobbing.
A/N: i wrote this in 2nd person but is 1st person preferred? idk, its my first time writing fanfics on tumblr :)
"Con..." You say, gently reaching out to touch his shoulder, to offer some sense of relief, even though you can tell he's far beyond hugging it out at this point.
"No, just-" He cuts himself off with a drunken hiccup as tears roll down his face. "Just leave me alone." He buries his head in his hands, his back shaking with sobs. You wish you could take him in your arms, kiss his pretty face until he stops crying, but you're just friends. Thats all. Thats all you'll ever be.
"Connor, please? Tell me what's wrong?" You coo, your voice soft enough to mirror the voice of a mother speaking to her child. He just shakes his head, flinching slightly as you rub his back gently. "Connor..." You coax, finally getting him to look up at you with his reddened, tear filled eyes.
"You don't love me." He says with a sniffle before bursting into sobs once more.
"I... what? Of course I love you." You say, almost incredulous. And it's true, of course it's true. You love him more than a dog loves his master, crave him more than a flower craves the sun, need him as much as a starving man needs a warm meal. But how can you tell your best friend that when he's drunk and sobbing on his creaky mattress at one in the morning?
"No!" He says, suddenly raising his voice as he stands up abruptly. "No, no, no, you don't love me the way I love you!" The tears roll of his cheeks like raindrops in a thunderstorm. He hiccups dryly, slurring his speech as he continues. "I... I want to kiss you and I want... I want you to be my girlfriend-"
"Connor, you're drunk." You cut him off, almost numb with shock.
"But that doesn't mean my feelings arent real!" He says, shouting now, without any regard for his sleeping sister and parents.
"Con..." Your voice is soft again, kind, the honey-sweet voice he's come to crave every night. "Believe me. If you were sober I would... I would kiss you right now, but you're drunk. I don't want this to be a drunken regret, and I don't want to take advantage of you." You say sternly, but not unkindly. Connor sinks to the bed, smiling goofily now.
"Yeah?" He says, grinning ear-to-ear like a fool. He giggles, then hiccups again, which makes you laugh and then you're both laughing and trying to shush each other at the same time, for fear of awaking Zoe, or worse- Cynthia and Larry.
"Yeah." You whisper, smiling at his dumb grin as you stand, dusting off your jeans. "Text me in the morning if you still feel the same when you're sober, yeah?"
"M'kay. G'night.." He slurs, falling backwards onto his bed.
"Sweet dreams," You whisper as you slide open the window, but as you turn back to check on him one last time, he's already snoring into his tear-stained pillow.
A/N: AAAHHHH i'm scared this is really bad but whatever ig?? i looooove connor sm i think we should actually get married. feedback in comments pls? 🥺🥺

Summary: Dmitry's time in Paris is interrupted when someone confuses him for a childhood best friend. What could have been easily cleared up in the moment spirals into something much bigger and leaves him feeling like there may never be a way out.
Author's Note: I know I said I was going to wait to do this so I could work on some writing challenge stuff, but I really want to get some of these requests done pre-pride.
This was requested by an anonymous reader here on Tumblr!
I'm also still playing around with 2nd person pov, so let me know if you vibe with it.

------------------------
Truly, it all could have stopped after the first day.
That day where Dmitry was wandering the streets of Paris on his own. Hands tucked in his pockets and mind full of anything other than where he was going. Anya vanishing into the wind as if she had been nothing but a figment of his imagination. Vlad vanishing in the chaos of Paris that had invited him in with open arms.
These were the times when Dmitry had wished that he simply remained in Russia. Where he knew his place. Where he could feel like he ruled his small corner of the world.
Paris was not that.
His thoughts must have been enough to silence the outside world. The voices and steps and music. Because the next thing he knew, there was a hand on his arm, forcing him to turn around with a force that only matched an owner accusing him of theft.
He was clearly shocked when he turned around. More shocked when he was met with the smiling face of you.
"Oh, I knew it!" your voice was excited and bright. You touched a hand to your chest. "Oh, Benjamin, it's so good to see you!"
Dmitry paused. Benjamin?
You paused, a clear moment of disappointment pulling at your features that you clearly tried to mask. "It's me! Remember?"
You said your name like Dmitry would have heard it a thousand times. It was still a mystery to him.
"You have to be joking," you continued. "You're going to stand there and pretend that you don't recognize someone that you practically grew up with?"
Dmitry could not have given a reasonable explanation for what came out of his mouth if someone had held him at gun point, "Ah, yes! I'm sorry! My eyes must be getting weaker with my old age."
You scoffed and hit his arm. "You are the same age as I am and I recognized you from across the road, Benjamin. I appreciate your jokes and tricks even less now than I did when we were children."
He took a beat to come up with the best course of action here, "You're right, I'm so sorry, dear friend."
He didn't have a reason for the kindness that he was showing to this stranger, but he found it hard to care about such reasoning when you stepped forward and hugged him.
The hug was warm. Familiar despite him having no true history with you. Was this your way? To hug people as if they were the most important person you had ever met? Dmitry was beginning to feel jealous of this long-lost Benjamin.
"I have missed you so much," you mumbled to him. The words were so sweet he could have been convinced that honey was poured directly into his ear. He could have melted.
You stepped back and his mind was still spinning.
"Oh, I wish I wasn't so busy." you frowned at him. "My mother has given me a whole list. We must find some time to spend together."
"Of course," he agreed, assuming that such a time would never come.
"I have a great idea!" you grabbed his arm. Those words didn't always lead to the best conclusions for him. "Meet me in this spot tomorrow at this time. We can go great something from a nearby shop. How does that sound?"
"Sounds perfect," he replied, already planning on how to avoid the area tomorrow. "I'll see you then."
"See you then!"
You gave him one more hug before rushing off again. And in a matter of fleeting seconds, you had left some kind of mark on Dmitry. One that he may never understand and may never want to.
He never planned to go back to that spot. Never. He planned to spend the next several days avoiding the area with every ounce of his power.
But something drew him back.
Maybe it was some deep desire to show you kindness. Maybe it was his loneliness pushing him.
All that he knew was that he somehow found himself walking slowly to that very same spot the next day.
One of the most vivid memories he would have in his life would be the bright smile on your face when you saw him again. He got another hug that made it feel like whatever poor choice he was making was definitely worth it.
You two spent the day roaming. Walking from place to place. You would tell stories. Dmitry would agree with them. Laugh in the right places, agree in the right places. It was an old skill for him at this point. Not something new for him.
A good person would have never let it get to this point.
A somewhat good person would have never let it go past the first day.
Instead, Dmitry came back the next day.
And the next.
And soon he had met you every day for a week.
You would walk at times. You would find small shops for treats and food that Dmitry would have never dreamed of stepping foot in. There was one day when you sat together and you simply read to him. For hours. And he loved every second of it.
He continued to laugh and agree with your stories and memories. At some point, it began to feel less like lying and more like he simply was Benjamin. That he had stripped the skin from himself and wore this Benjamin's face around like a silly mask.
He told himself every night that it would be the last time that he saw you. But every morning, he would find himself justifying turning that corner, walking down that road, smiling when he met your eyes. As if a force called him to you. As if you were some kind of siren creature and your song was kindness instead of calling Dmitry to his death.
Dmitry had never planned on telling you the truth. Truly, he didn't. He thought that one day he would allow "Benjamin" to disappear into the crowd and never be seen again.
And then, you invited him to dinner.
It was after your day spent together. The second where you had spent most of the time simply reading to him.
You had made it back to the usual meeting spot. At some point, he had grabbed your hand. Likely when helping you up from where you two had been resting before. He had no reason for why he had yet to let go.
He was ready to say his goodbyes and continue on his way. He would probably do the same thing as last time: promise to not go back tomorrow but be there bright and early to keep you company.
But you spoke before he could even entertain that plan, "I should have asked you earlier, but my mother is making a lovely dinner tonight. She asked me to invite you."
Dmitry's voice failed him for the first time in a long time.
"Obviously, if you do not want to go, then you don't have to, but I would like for you to," you added.
He took a breath.
His momentary hesitation was enough to get you to attempt to escape the silly idea, "You know what? Never mind, ignore what I said-"
"I need to be honest with you."
Dmitry didn't let go of your hand, unable to unclasp his fingers to allow you a chance to leave him if you were angry. You stared at him with big, expectant eyes.
He paused. It was as if the wide-eyed look you gave him was enough to stop him dead in his tracks for a few seconds.
"What," you asked.
He took a breath. "I'm not Benjamin."
It was your turn to pause. Just for a few moments before you spoke up again, "I must be honest with you then."
His eyebrows furrowed at your sentence.
"I knew that already."
Dmitry's jaw fell slack at your confession. "You knew? How could you have possibly known?"
"I had my suspicion on the second day when you seemed to hate that pastry we got," you explained with a simple shrug of your shoulders. "Then, I started slipping in a few... telltales about our- or my childhood and you would just agree with everything."
He ran his free hand over his face. Again, he had never pulled his hand out of yours.
"My parents are aware, as well," you added.
"Why never confront me? Why not say something?"
You tilted your head, as if studying him. "You seemed as if you needed it."
He looked confused.
"You seemed lonely," you admitted. "Every time I saw you, you seemed lost. And who would keep up such a ridiculous act where the only prize was company, if they weren't lonely?"
There was no response.
"Come," you said, tugging on his hand. "My mother has spent ages making sure dinner was good enough to impress you."
The idea of someone putting so much thought into doing something for him- to impress him- was enough to shock Dmitry into simply following along as you guided him.
You twirled him through turns and crowds as if you had choreographed the walk beforehand, and he had merely missed rehearsals.
"Wait!" his voice was sharp enough to spook himself. You too had hit a barren stretch of road.
You turned around with a small laugh tickling your lips. "What could you possibly need now? Have we not gone over- Oh!"
He dragged you into a hug. A strong hug. Almost stronger than the one that you had given him on that first day you had seen him in the street.
There may never be a time when Dmitry feels safe enough to explain everything to you. The story of Ana and Vlad and the great con that almost was. About fleeing and the ballet and being left alone on that bridge. But he was beginning to believe that you would never ask him to. Not until he was ready.
Because for now, you were hugging him back. Holding him as if he were an old friend. As if he hadn't lied about who he was. As if he hadn't given you every reason not to show him an ounce of kindness.
And that one action may be enough to keep him out of that fog that he had spent so long stuck in.
Broadway is a very good partner. He also enjoys eating with you. He’ll learn how to cook for that reason (expect most of your ingredients to be missing.)
He’ll just surprise you with a big ass buffet that he cooked himself (with a little help from Elisa.) I’m saying steak, shrimp, steamed vegetables, and all of your favorite foods set up and filling up all the space on the table. You two will just have to grab plates and eat your dinner sitting on the floor while watching detective movies.
Hope you all enjoy! Bandstand is a wonderful musical that needs more appreciation!
Donny “Nova” Novitski
He is super nervous and wants to make a good impression. you have been dating for a year, he’s already made an impression.
He buys you flowers for the kitchen table.
He writes a whole song about you and your relationship
Does little tasks for you, like cleaning. He’s very bad at them, but it’s cute how he’s trying and it gives y’all time to bond over trying to teach him how.
More loving stares

Extra hand holding and other little touches all day
Wayne Wright
Please let him plan the day out he’s too nervous for surprises.
He WILL plan the WHOLE day, so make sure to tell him it’s alright to relax and that he doesn’t have to do too much, or do anything he can’t handle.
Takes you to a romantic movie and dinner after.
He tried to figure out how to cook your favorite dinner, but it stressed him out too much and ended up in a panic attack every time he tried, so he decided to take you out to dinner instead.
It is a really fancy and expensive dinner, from the restaurant that you love.
He tries his best to engage in some touch, but he can’t get through most of it.
He plans some compliments to give you, and reminds you he loves you through the night.
he worries he doesn’t say it enough
Takes you home, and since the kids aren’t there, you both have some drinks.
Nick Radel
“I love you every damn day, why does today have to be special? I gotta love you more?”
Ignore the fresh bouquet on the table.
Ignore the extra touching.
Ignore that he’s hanging around you more today.
ignore the home cooked meal.
Ignore that he’s talking about you to the guys while you’re in earshot
Ignore that he turned the radio to your favorite station, even though he says he doesn’t like the station.
ignore that today he seems a little calmer. A little sweeter. Less angry at you specifically, but also more annoyed by everyone else.
he doesn’t like anniversaries.
he loves anniversaries, he’s just scared to mess up which is making him mad which is making him take it out on everything by being annoyed and defensive.
if you point out his sweetness today, he’s going to loudly deny it
If you point it out in front of the band. He’s done for, how could you.
Jimmy Campbell
Super nervous
never had an anniversary before
with the times being what they are, also nervous because of the environment your both in.
decides a night in would be the easiest and safest bet
He does a lot of studying before lunch, to clear time for you.
still late to lunch.
a walk around the city after
during the walk, he reminds you of places you were for important moments. It’s like a walk through your relationship. You’re surprised he remembered such small things.
Care to slow dance in the kitchen late at night, sir?
Davy Zlatic
You get breakfast in bed
He recites Shakespeare to you, reading out all the romantic passages he can think of. Only the best for you, so he tries to find the couples with good endings.
You stay in that day, normally he’s out and about at bars and socializing (extroverts…) but today he spends all day talking to you.
He does still drink, and you are still concerned, but he tries toning it down for today.
Makes you laugh as much as he can.
He takes you to dinner. Not too fancy but it’s better than most places.
Of course, you two do still end up at the bar. It’s where you met after all.
You share drinks and a few dances.
Johnny Simpson
DONT BE MAD YOU KNEW HE WOULD FORGET :(((((
He feels very bad about it and spends the morning apologizing.
Writes it down in his notebook to try remembering or at least to remind himself that today is important
Reads his notebook to you on the walk there, specifically the parts about you. He writes that he loves you a lot, even if he remembers that part.
You two get to the bar the band was playing at, and he convinces Donny to let him sing you a love song. Dedicates the night to you without telling Donny before doing it.
Pays for your favorite dinner, asks you what it is five times just to make sure he remembers what it is. He does not so he just pays.
Goes home and does stuff around the house to help you out (what he can do anyway. His back hurts by now).
Oh the way he looks at you today is somehow even more loving than usual, like you hung the stars themselves. He’s amazed you stayed with the man that lost his mind.
Lost his heart too, the day you stole it from him.

Connor Murphy was in love with you. But then again, he’d never really had any other option. You weren’t the type to give up on anyone, and once you’d decided that you would be friends with Connor Murphy, well, the boy didn’t stand a chance.
He’d fallen for you slowly, ever careful with his fragile heart. Had done everything that he could to deter you. He’d put on a tough facade, determined to not fall for those doe eyes of yours, but his walls had started to crumble from the first moment he heard your sweet voice.
It had been your first day of school, a year ago or thereabouts, and he had been grabbing books out of his locker when he’d heard confident steps approaching him. He’d flinched, used to being grabbed and shoved against lockers, or shoved to the ground, books toppling around him. High schoolers were not kind. His nervous system relaxed, however, when he’d seen you looking up at him, shoulders back, with a determined smile on your face. “Hi, I’m new here and-”
“I can tell.”
“Oh! Right, sorry.” You smiled, shaking off his rude interruption. “I’m y/n, it’s my first day and I was wondering if you could tell me where room 416 is?”
He rolled his eyes, painful as it was to treat such adorableness with displeasure. Still, he couldn’t let anyone in. Not when he’d been hurt too many times before. “Look, what I mean is I can tell you’re new here because no one speaks to me unless they’re looking for trouble. But, if it gets you out of my hair, it’s down the hall, to your left, and then your third right. Got it?”
You nodded, smiling up at him as he turned back to his locker. “Thank you…uh…”
He sighed, closing his locker door and turning to you. “It’s Connor.”
“Oh, well thank you Connor, I-”
Your voice had paused as he turned and walked down the hallway in the opposite direction. That hadn’t stopped you though. “I hope you have a great day!”
It would take him months to tell you, but as he walked away from you that day, a small smile spread across his face at your kind words. He told himself not to think anything of it, but figured as he’d probably never see you again, he could allow himself to enjoy that small moment of kindness. It was a rare occurrence for him after all.
Until it wasn’t. A few days later, he was sitting alone in the cafeteria when a lunch tray appeared next to him. Again, he flinched at the sound of it hitting the table, used to being approached by bullies intending to threaten him or tease him about…existing…he figured. But again, he’d been surprised when those increasingly familiar doe eyes looked up at him. “Hi Connor, it’s uh, y/n? We met the other day. I just wanted to say thank you for helping me find my class. It’s nice to have a friend, this school is bigger than I imagined.”
He was flabbergasted. A beautiful girl kept approaching him, and had now decided that they were friends? After a miniscule interaction? He had to be dreaming. These kinds of things didn’t happen to guys like him. And yet there you were, awaiting his response patiently while he sat there like a moron staring blankly back at you. Nice one Connor. He laughed as he thought back to how awkward he’d been.
“People don’t usually sit with me.”
Somehow emboldened by his words, you shuffled closer. He felt his walls begin to crumble. “Well there’s always a first!”
He stared at you before coughing himself into action, he figured he should at least give talking to you a go. “How, uh- How was your first day anyway?”
Your mouth broke into a warm smile. Crumble. “It was alright, a bit lonely, people don’t seem to want to give new people a chance here, but-”
“Oh, they don’t give anyone that isn’t a part of their cliques a chance, don’t take it personally.”
“Thanks Connor,” Those doe eyes met his cautious irises. Crumble. “So how’s your day?”
He grimaced then, not used to people asking him about himself. He took a deep breath and gave his best attempt at a smile. “It’s, uh- okay? I don’t usually have someone to talk to about my day so I’m not really sure what to say.”
You frowned at him, which, against his better judgement, caused a deep laugh to emerge from his chest. Crumble. He couldn’t help it, your concern for him was adorable. Those walls he built to keep himself safe were no match for your kind heart. “Well, here.”
You leaned down and took out a notebook and pen from your bag before writing on the page, ripping it out, and handing it to him. When he took the page from you, his hand trembled as he realised what had happened. He looked up at you with the expression of a child being given their first dose of affection. You smiled, resolute. “Now you have my number, so you can call or text to tell me about your day if you ever want to.”
He couldn’t get the smile off his face for the rest of the day, palming the page in the pocket of his hoodie whenever he needed a reminder that someone as wonderful as you actually seemed to care about him. Little did he know how your heart had soared when, an hour after school, your phone buzzed with his first message:
Hi y/n, this is Connor. Thanks for being my friend. You’re a cool person.
Followed immediately by another after as he realised that his message was a bit cold.
:)
You’d giggled the whole way home.
A year later, and you had happily been dating for eight months. It had been tough, what with Connor’s seemingly endless self-doubts and insecurities, but you were going strong. Connor had made you more considerate and thoughtful, taking extra care to stop and pay attention to the world around you, and you had made him open up, showed him that it was okay to let the world in and that not everyone was out to hurt him.
Connor was finally comfortable being himself, secure in the relationship, when you decided that it was time for your worlds to combine. Your mother had been insisting for months that she wanted to have your boyfriend over for dinner, and having seen Connor so happy lately, you figured now was as good a time as any.
You imagined it going so smoothly, with Connor melting into your arms and being so excited to meet the people that loved you as much as he did. What happened instead was that Connor stared at you wide-eyed for a moment, then stood up, mumbled something about being late for class, and left the cafeteria. Despite it being the middle of the lunch break.
Anyone else would’ve been worried but you knew Connor. He just needed a bit of time to think about things and then he would come find you and talk about it. Sure enough, he approached your locker right after the school bell rang to finish the day.
He looked at you nervously, arms folding in on themselves. “Can, uh, we talk?”
You nodded. “Of course we can, love.”
You walked to a nearby park where you often spent time, the two of you sitting down on a park bench. A group of young kids were kicking a soccer ball around between them, while others sat on swings. You looked at Connor whose gaze was locked on the group kicking the ball around in a desperate bid to avoid your eyes. “Sweetheart, what’s going on in that mind? Please let me in.”
He sighed, studying the gravel below you with his head in his hands. “I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to meet your family.”
Your eyebrows furrowed in concern. “And why is that?”
Running his hands through his hair, he finally looked up at you. “I’m not a..people person…like you. I mean, you remember what I was like before we were dating, I’m not good at looking at people, let alone talking to them, let alone trying to impress your family who…”
His eyes widened. “-your large family, who I’m just never going to be enough for. Your parents are already going to stress me out and you can at least hold an adult conversation with them. How am I supposed to make a good impression on your siblings? They’re kids! I’m horrible with kids.”
Just as Connor was returning to his head-in-hands-moping position, a ball landed at his feet. “Hey, pass us the ball!”
Connor slowly stood up, gently dribbling the ball between his feet before jogging over to the group and passing it to the boy that had called out. “Dude, that was some super quick footing before, do you play professionally or something?”
You watched the young boy blush, rubbing a hand behind his neck bashfully. “Haha, no!”
Connor leaned down, “You sure? With moves like that I wouldn’t be surprised if you make the big leagues with some patience and practice!”
The kid squinted up at your boyfriend, smiling excitedly, and your heart melted at the sight. Connor reached over and ruffled the boy’s hair before heading back over to you. He turned around to the boy, pointing a finger at him and calling out, “Gotta put in the hard work, alright?”
The kid nodded as Connor sat back next to you. You noted how his body language had shifted: he was more open, happier, content. At least until he remembered the conversation he had left. He sighed, “I just…they’re going to hate me.”
“Connor, hey,” You reached out an arm, noting the way he flinched before easing into your touch. It broke your heart how much pain he held inside him, despite how far he’d come. How far you both had. “They’re going to love you. You have so much heart, my love. You try so hard to be loving and kind despite all that you’re going through. How could they not love you?”
He lingered in your gaze before looking back out to the park, letting out a deep exhale. You took the opportunity to continue. “I mean, look at how you just made that little boy’s day. He’s not going to forget the guy that went up to him in the park and believed in him and his dreams. If you can do that, you can sure as hell hold a conversation with my siblings.”
He looked up at you, a glint of hope in his eye and a small smile appearing on his face. “You think?”
You smiled, “Absolutely. And besides, do you really think I’d ever let you get hurt by someone, even slightly? If my family says anything that upsets you, I’ll be right there. And I’ll give them a piece of my mind.”
He laughed and wrapped his arms around you, angling down to kiss the top of your hair. “How did I ever get lucky enough to find you?”
You smiled into his embrace, “You opened your eyes.”

You were sitting in the art room one day during study hall as usual when all of a sudden someone else came into the room
You were startled because usually, it’s just you and the art teacher this period.
A boy, probably another student judging by the style of his clothes, came in, nodded his head at your teacher as a greeting, signed in, and sat at a table on the other side of the room
He took out a sketchbook that looked very well loved with stickers all over the front and back covers
He could feel your eyes on him and looked over
You quickly put your head down and felt the tips of your ears grow warm in embarrassment
After that, the two of you drew in your respective sketchbooks silently
The period passed and you didn’t leave the room as you had actual art class next period but neither did the mystery boy
Once the rest of your classmates were settled into their seats, except for the mystery boy, Ms.Anne stood up in front of the class, “Hello Everyone! I hope you’ve all had a good day so far. As you can see we have a new student with us. This is Connor Murphy, he just started here so please help him feel welcome. Connor, you can sit at the table back there with Y/N.”
You felt your eyes grow wide, no one has sat next to you for the whole year why did that have to change now?
He searched for a minute before his eyes found yours
He came and sat down next to you and you decided to introduce yourself to make him feel welcome or whatever Ms.Anne said.
Surprisingly he responded and you two talked through the rest of the period and the rest is history.
He quickly became your favorite thing to draw
At first, you kept the drawings hidden in fear of him being creeped out but as you grew closer you eventually showed him the drawings
He cried when he saw them because he never imagined someone seeing him in a positive way like you did
Soon after you showed him the drawings the two of you started dating
You loved that you were now able to give him all the affection he deserved (never in public though because he had a reputation to uphold)
And now you could make him pose for all the drawings you want
He drew you on occasion but was insecure about his art even though you constantly assured him it was incredible
For your one-year anniversary, you drew Connor’s favorite picture of the two of you
Once he opened it and saw what it was he practically jumped at you to kiss you and give you the biggest hug
You two stayed like that for a while
For all your anniversaries after that you drew his favorite picture of the two of you from the last year <3
You are in what feels like your twentieth interview of the day. Luckily, Aaron is with you, making this all a little easier. The two of you answer a few questions about the show before the interviewer tries to get a little more personal information.
"So, this is the third project the two of you have done together, correct?"
You smile. "I can't seem to get rid of him."
Aaron laughs at you. "I think I got the role first."
You roll your eyes, but let him have the victory.
"I would think the two of you would be sick of each other by now, but it doesn't seem like that's the case."
"No," you answer, "Aaron is honestly one of the best people I've ever met. I am so so lucky that I have ever had a project with him, let alone three." You squeeze his hand tightly, causing him to blush.
"I'm the lucky one," he counters. "She's been doing this a lot longer than me. I'm just grateful I get to learn from the best."
The interviewer smiles, knowing they got a good bit. They quickly wrap it up and the two of you are on your way.
"You're too good to me," you say, walking out of the studio.
"I just told the truth."
"Aaron-"
"I'm serious, (Y/N)."
"I know," you respond. "I know."
He tentatively reaches for your hand. "Thank you for what you said."
