Brosted Chicken (Cluster F, JLT, Dubai, UAE)
First victim resto on the list is Broasted* Chicken; for 79aed, you get a family meal which consists of: 12pcs broasted chicken, 6 pita breads, coleslaw, veggies, garlic paste and something that goes well for pita bread (and pepsi, tsk).
The chicken in itself tastes like a healthier (it is still fried in oil) albeit somewhat tastier than fried chicken. Taking a bite of the broasted chicken's skin is akin to stepping a sun dried leaf in the middle of the afternoon -- it feels good.
The taste is blander compared to other asian dishes, but saltier than most western chickens that I have tasted. My mouth's first impression? Create saliva then devour food. My mouth was literally trying its best to experience the taste of the chicken in full -- it was that tasty.
The downside? The chicken meat itself was not as juicy as the other broast chicken here in Dubai and felt like I was eating KFC with different seasoning.
There's nothing special about the fried potatoes except for its shape with a slight noticeable oil.
My verdict? Price vs taste wise, I'm giving this a 3.5/5.0.
