This is one of my favorite pictures. I'm not sure exactly when it was taken and it is not the most flattering pic but I look at this and I can close my eyes and imagine his warmth. His smell. Rubbing his smooth little head. Today, last year, was the last time I spoke to Brock. He was intubated today. I told him they were going to have to put a breathing tube in and he said no. I told him they would give him meds to make him sleep and he said ok. He had been through enough in life that his attitude was, as long as he was asleep and couldn't feel it-do whatever you need to do. I told him I loved him and he told me he loved me more. I had no idea that would be the last time I saw those beautiful brown eyes. Definitely a hard week here. Timehop is like a driving by a bad car accident... You know what is coming up. You know what you see may be devastating. But you just have to look. I'm sorry for all of the sad posts. Hang in there with me. May is almost over. Oh, how I loved that boy! This was today, last year (January 21 2015) . Even in the worst times he still smiled.
