okay, so brodburger was the BEST decision I've made in WEEKS.
Last week I splurged on a burger from a place called Grease Monkey's. It was a pretty average burger, but it was Twenty Seven Dollars - the bacon was overcooked and it just wasn't worth a Quarter of One Hundred Dollars y'know. It even came with fries, and the fries were good, but it just fuckin wasn't a $27 meal y'know. I was pretty mad.
So I had to get Brodburger for the sake of comparison. I've had it a few times - it's pricey, but every time I've gotten it, it's been worth it.
...look how big this fucking thing is.
There was no ideal way to measure this. I tried to take a photo of it next to my head, but it was unwieldy and cringe, so I did the next best thing and used my glasses as a yardstick to measure this thing in relation to my head.
This burger was roughly as wide as my entire face, and it was three quarters of that width tall. It was genuinely impossible to eat it bite by bite, so I had to graze at it in chunks until it was small enough to fit inside my mouth. I was going at this like I was hooking up with a lady from Locanto for the first time in ten years. This burger took time, effort and dedication to get through.
And like - that Grease Monkey's burger was $27, right? It came with fries, but it was a burger-sized burger that didn't taste that much better than a fast food burger.
This burger was $25.50. Granted, that's just for the burger - but the burger itself had more food than the entire Grease Monkey's meal. This burger had more food to it than a budget Domino's pizza. It blows the absolute tits off of whatever Grease Monkey's is doing. I didn't leave Brodburger disappointed.
And granted? This burger fell apart on me near the end. It's absolutely a gimmick burger. One of the patties was slipping out and the bottom bun was smaller than the top one due to my grazing approach. But it was a spectacle that was worth the quarter of a hundred bucks I paid for it. The other burgers on the menu are cheaper, and they're just as wide as this one - this is the most expensive burger on the menu.
Awesome burger. Awesome, awesome burger. It took me getting my tax return before I could get one of these for myself, but it was absolutely worth the three month wait.
