but yeah i’m always annoying when i’m trying to pronounce anything in chinese b/c i always feel inadequate lol secretly i like japanese a lot better but sadly they don’t offer it at my school

yeah japanese pronunciation is so easy compared to chinese, its such a weird transition for me lol. & yea same if my school offered japanese i would take it in a heartbeat...

haha it’s the opposite for me, i’ve taken chinese for about 2 1/2 years and started this is the first year im taking chinese. but actually most of the characters from japanese have the sameish meanings which is nice and a relief like thank goodness.

ooh yeah also this is the first language i've actually taken in like. a formal class setting so its super weird. i'm so used to just studying languages for fun & i love love love japanese like i'm oddly passionate about it and i just think its the most interesting language ever whereas w/ chinese its like. hm. well Okay. i'm sure it'll just take some time for me to get used to it though haha

ikr!! i was taking japanese all summer, and now going back to chinese is making me frustrated which i hate to say b/c i like both. and every time i have chinese class i’m always trying to translate everything back and forth between them & ahhh >:/

oooh yeah i feel u. this is the first year im taking chinese (ive been studying japanese for about 2 and a half yrs now?) and its so frustrating that now i have to learn different meanings and readings for the same exact characters like.... why..... somehow i'll probably end up reading characters the wrong way in both languages lol

omfg i am so glad i am not the only one who feels this pain, seriously it was a stupid idea to do this to myself and i am just glad somebody understandsss (…hi we’ve never talked before but this is literally my life right now so, yeah…)

omg yea like. i would probably enjoy chinese more if it wasn't so difficult tbh? which sounds so horrible for me like i love languages/linguistics so its super unlike me to say something like that, but the tones & pronunciation are such a turn-off for me aaaa. it is frustrating. then again, learning any language is pretty frustrating (& omg no its ok friend ! i like talking 2 new ppl)
