@vixencatastrophe asked me why Trashpanda was my animal persona. Tumblr is totally broken so I somehow lost the ask while answering it (WTF?!!), so here's my answer. Sorry about the confusion.

I don't quite know where TP came from, it was Fox who gave me the name when they were coming up with the concept of the Petting Zoo with Cat (the other guys had their names figured out through various personal connections, but I had no obvious candidate).

My best guess would be that it came from the quote "I'm a total trash mammal!", which is something Mae says in Night In The Woods.

That being said, I totally identify with the whole Trashpanda entity, from the classic animal-renaming meme to the furry little fiends that steal food, thrive in rubbish and want to help you by washing your important items but have no real concept of whether it SHOULD be washed or not. Also, I guess somehow in my mind raccoons are pretty queer with their fashion choices (permanent mask?! Fluffy striped tail?!) and their itty-bitty-cutsie hands <3

Also, my favourite animals are definitely kitties of all shapes and sizes, I am a crazy kitty dad <3
