HERE ARE SOME BONUS TIPS IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO FIX THE BROKEN PALETTE OR USE THEM AS MAKEUP PIGMENTS!!!!!
1. Create your own loose pigment product.
▪ Empty the bits, and whatever remains in the pan, into an old (but clean) lipgloss tub, empty sifter jar, etc.
▪ Use plastic spork, small spatula or other tool to break up all the bits until you have a uniform powder consistency.
2. Repress using (some) pressure.
▪ Put the broken bits back into the original pan.
▪ Cover your finger with plastic wrap.
▪ Use your finger to gently and evenly press the shadow (or other makeup) into the pan.
3. Re-press using alcohol.
▪ Put the broken bits back into the original pan.
▪ Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol (not tequila or rum, ladies. Stay focused.) and stir into a paste.
▪ Note: At this point, your shadow will look quite dark. Don’t worry.
▪ Using a plastic wrap covered finger, press the shadow/powder into the pan. Even it out with your finger.
▪ Set the container out to dry for a few days. Once the color is back to normal, you’ll know it’s ready.
▪ Or- if you pan is not plastic, you can bake the pan in your oven at 300 degrees (F) for 3 minutes at a time. Check it OFTEN! Once you notice the edges lightening, remove the pan and set it out to dry for about 2 days.
