original title: the new hatchetfield high- yes, i decided to change it, i didnt really like the first title but now we got a better one!
Jeep and the Prince standing by the remains of the roof disaster of Fort Featherly.
The last winter storm dropped that downed branch, covered in snow and ice, directly onto the wire covering the Fort with the results seen in the background. That portion of the Fort is now partitioned off so the chickens cannot get out. Repairs to begin as soon as I can get the materials. Sigh. Jeep decided that the tarp was a great dog toy. Too bad he cannot wield a hammer...

Broken Boards
The waves came in and out, surfacing just before the sand
His heart began to excel, though the waves stayed their pace
Adrian turned, the ocean seeming to stare back, the most intense blues he knew—Deran
Deran’s blues were glistening while his own sat shadowed
Like magnets, they were always drawn to each other, sliding into place
The pull kept them grounded until the next wave hit
Bringing them out through the swell, taking each wave in stride until they began to fade
They moved back to the shore as the day began to disappear
The electricity pulling them back to each other with no space to spare
Deran’s baby blues were electric as Adrian’s began to deepen
The friction between them was unbearable as their electricity began to spark
Though they didn’t break apart; their hold solid, and unwavering
At last, their connection jolted as they pressed into one another
Warmth met underneath them as they fell apart, close to one another
Sweat was falling as their hearts were skipping
Adrian’s darkened eyes found Deran’s light ones, and they collided again
This time with less friction and more stillness, the two curling around one another
Hands became twisted in locks of auburn and blonde as the waves crashed in
Their was a storm coming—‘she’ was always in the background
Dusk was rising as fog was beginning to take hold
Like magnets they were always pulling apart, sliding out of place
The flare in Deran’s pools was dimming as Adrian’s began to shine
Adrian turned, and the ocean was suddenly above him-the most somber blue eyes staring back
His heart began to steady, though the waves quickened their pace
The waves came in and out, crashing into the sand
