#broken game

Game Advice/Help Needed:

Hi all, for the better part of these last 3-4 years, I have been trying to repair my game. I have not been able to successfully play The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection for a while, which caused me to leave the community and the game itself out of frustration. I have tried nearly everything. If you can please offer any insight or help, more info below the cut:

I initially started having issues with pink flashing which progressed to total pink soup. I went through Graphics Rules Maker, DVXK, George (the one recommended for RPC), Sims 2 RPC (+No Error Visualization, the randomizer adjustment, TS2 Makeup Lag Fix), have my game in windowed mode, 4GB fix with CFF explorer (I did this before RPC), memory allocation fix, etc. I have also tried to use the Sims 2 Legacy graphics/video cards, as they have helped out some simmers.

I wound up having constant pink soup from the neighborhood view, but LazyDuchess's No Error Visualization helped suppress the pink soup and actually made my game appear normal. I ran into trouble again when I added Crisps&Kerosene's Extended Material Shader (I downloaded the DreadPirate’s ShaderFixes with LazyDuchess’ Overly Bright CaS Fix option), whereafter my game appeared like this:

The first photo is from a pre-existing Test Hood, and the second is from a newly created Test Hood. The ground is invisible and when I try to load a house, the game crashes.

I took out the new shader and half of my cc to try to troubleshoot the problem, and even with removing the shader (I am NOT saying the shader is at fault, I am just listing things as they happened in my game), my game still appears as above. On one neighborhood load, I used the cheat code boolprop reparseshaders true which did nothing but crash the game immediately (worth a try).

I am beyond stuck and extremely disheartened. I run my game (or try to) on Windows 11, with NVIDIA Graphics Card. My computer's graphics are kept up-to-date.

I can't think of anything else to add, but thank you to all. If you have any suggestions/recommendations, please let me know, I am open to anything. I really miss this community and I miss my game.

figured out the general problem with wuwa currently via their discord server...

devs fucking broke the game with the new event

literally broke the game

and now i'm gonna miss out on 800 astrites (5 pulls) due to this plus the daily 60 and the weekly 160 :/

My mini graduated last week so I was completely ghost for what feels like a week (it was probably a little less!) The update has ruined all the UI stuff (at least in my game) and it isn't UI or TO.O.L. this time around. I really don't want to batch test my mods right now. I just want to play. So if the game isn't too laggy I might leave it for another day. Everything else seems to be working okay. If it ain't shattered don't fix it (Sim's is always broken).

JW if anyone else has encountered this lovely glitch.. When I click tattoos on a female sim the upper body disappears?! It doesn’t happen with males 🤔 I tested without cc but it still happens wtfff
