Summary: BTS are off to the Grammys but all is not well. Jin had a mysterious encounter with his future daughter. Jimin continues to attempt to ingratiate himself with Jungkook. Taehyung's possessiveness towards Jimin stirs Jungkook’s anger.
Snippet:
Jungkook stops, turns sharply, and asks the question that has been driving him crazy for weeks. “When did you two start screwing?”
“Don’t,” Jimin pleads and bravely reaches out for Jungkook’s hand. “Don’t ask things that will only make you feel worse.”
Jungkook easily avoids Jimin’s grasp, his anger from earlier fades as pain fills his voice. “Were we still together when you two…were we? Why wasn’t I enough?”
“You were! You are everything to me!” Jimin cries out. The hurt look on Jungkook’s face breaks through Jimin’s denial. He has a startling moment of clarity. “I had already pushed you away. We were fighting…not together when I…. I regret it. I regret everything! I don’t know why…why I wanted to blow my whole world apart. Why I wanted to be so miserable…why I still don’t think I deserve to be happy. I honestly thought I was just hurting myself…I never wanted to hurt you. I never wanted you to hate me.”
Jungkook stares at Jimin and recognizes the boy he has adored since he was fourteen. Jimin, who has been acting crazy for weeks, looks…looks like his Jimin. The distant fog that has covered Jimin’s eyes is gone and Jungkook knows in his heart that Jimin never meant to hurt him…even if it is crazy to think he could have done what he did without hurting him.
