ATTN blaclcshuclcs and BPDcronusampora: let the record show that i am declaring a meat shield moratorium effective immediately
i have been feeling more and more like arguing with rhett is only letting CAA off the hook at rhett’s expense. the thing is, for all that i sincerely don’t like the guy, i feel bad.
reasons i don’t like him: he’s cruel he knows it but he doesn’t stop, which is just mind-boggling to me
he lets jerkwads treat him like a meat shield as if he doesn’t have any right to peace of mind if his loved ones are unhappy, which frustrates me
he’s a codependent enabler making excuses and erases the consequences for someone in the grip of a powerful delusion who needs to be allowed to experience reality right now.
that said, i do pity him for the pinch he’s gotten himself into. he’s miserable because the only choices he perceives as rational are either to defend CAA's indefensible behavior at all costs and get himself shredded in the process, or feel like he’s abandoned CAA, which of course impossible for a codependent to fathom.
and this is why CAA likes using him so much. as a tool, he’s perfect. we’ve all seen it like five times now: he has some doubts, he wants to apologize for something he knows was over the line, and CAA slaps him down and tells him what to do. CAA guilts him a little or dangles a weensie toy noose over his own head when he wants some attention and rhett’ll jump to say or do anything to prove his loyalty and earn some affection and keep CAA aware that he’s everything to the poor dumb kid. and he ends up miserable no matter what.
i don’t think he can get himself out of that mess. that’s not fair, yo.
also, i always dislike arguing CAA’s fights with third parties, that’s chickenshit business. talking to rhett instead of CAA about CAA’s behavior is a distraction that gives CAA plenty of room to stomp around shrieking and throwing tantrums and wrecking shit without really feeling the consequences of his actions.
imagine CAA as Mojo Jojo and rhett as the hippies, and this clip illustrates my problem with the situation:
well, i’m done letting rhett draw fire. as much as i dislike him, he’s still one of CAA’s victims. and that’s gross, bro.
so here’s the deal: i’ve decided to leave rhett out of this. nothing he has to say is even relevant anyway, he’s not the person continuing to fuck with people, he’s just taking cues from CAA. so he’s out.
i’ll talk to CAA only at this point. no rhett, no messengers, no proxies and absolutely no fake alters, on pain of funny internet posts about how dumb y’all are. if CAA wants me to have information, he can bloody well tell me himself. no more meat shields, you chickenshit little lunchroom bully.
