Living in the shadows was one thing, but living off of them was another... It has become a normal thing for Lina to keep to herself and just let the time pass as she continued to survive. Surviving, though, had really just become a conquest of what drug she was going to have next. She had no idea how it had gotten to this point. It was all fun and games until an addictions starts, right?

On a cold, wet park bench sat a girl. Makeup smeared, hair a mess– the usual. What was unusual about this though, was that it was Lina. Always one to pride herself in keeping it together, at least in front of people, here she sat destroyed. She was still high and the buzz wasn’t going to come down anytime soon as she tossed a needle back into her purse. This was it; the moment people have been telling her would happen for awhile now. She was ashamed, but also invigorated.
A stuttered sigh came out of her weak lungs as she threw her purse on the ground. Occasional small giggles escaped her lips as she sat in high bliss. “Fuuuuck” she let out, not caring if someone were to find her like this. But, then like always, the voices of her parents entered her head. ‘What are you doing Alina! You’re horrible, so much worse than your brother ever was. How could you... You make us sick’ The sad part was that she believed the thoughts and any fun feeling she once had in her disagreed at the drop of a hat.
Now all that sat there was an extremely high, messy, crying Lina.
