This man saw me, dressed for a performance, decked out in one of my finest dresses. The outward appearance can be deceiving. I am a bargain hunter and as I stood there in my $15 dress I looked at him and thought about the cellphone in my friend's hand that cost at least 50 times more than what I paid for my gorgeous silk dress. ⁣ ⁣ How often do we make assumptions about other people based on outward appearances? ⁣ ⁣ Each person, made in the image of God is infinitely more valuable than what the outward appearance reveals. The personal background of a person doesn’t determine whether or not they deserved a knee on their neck for almost nine minutes. God sets the value. The price was the blood of Jesus. ⁣ ⁣ May we treat the images of God, one another, with dignity, honor, and respect. I could hear everyone but I couldn’t see them and they couldn’t see me. I had to switch over to Tom’s laptop to see and be seen. The timing was perfect. I heard some great testimonies and beautiful music. It was a night stripped of all pretense and each person’s heart was allowed to shine through. Don’t give up trying to get in the room. God will make a way when it’s time for you to be seen.
