Anthony Eardley ’10 (@mission_ninja )had an experience he won't soon forget during his recent run on the popular TV show American Ninja Warrior. Anthony competed in the 2019 Baltimore regional earlier this summer and made it through the first round. Last night, NBC aired the Baltimore City Finals where Anthony was the first competitor to take the course. Anthony was a Welding Technology major here at SUNY Delhi and went on to have a career in underwater welding before turning his attention to extreme obstacle competitions. During his on-camera interview, Anthony talked about his career in welding and gave a touching tribute to his family who adopted him right after he was born. Anthony made it just as far as any other contender, but unfortunately, his time was not fast enough for him to qualify for the national finals. He thanked the SUNY Delhi community for all the support he has received during this journey! Anthony is going to continue to compete and recently took third in ninja competitions at both the States Games of America and the UNAA World Finals. He will use his welding skills to design and build obstacles for his home gym, and potentially larger gyms as well, and is now looking to become a certified coach and instructor for ninja-style training. Great job, Anthony! . . . . #SUNYDelhi #DelhiAlumni #BroncoPride @ninjawarrior #americanninjawarrior #weldinglife #underwaterwelding #ninjawarrior https://www.instagram.com/p/B1HcyhVjTch/?igshid=1i5ehqds5bnl9
