Why Cute Things Does NOT Make You Less of A Man
Some men are scared that their hobby about colorful ponies will get them kicked out, bullied, and harassed by other men who view it as “girly”.
But those are Gender Stereotypes, “men are men and do manly things”.
That’s not exactly true, some men will be into cute things, and that’s fine / okay. In this post I want to talk about why It’s fine to be into cute and “girly” things if you are a man.
Liking cute cartoons or creatures doesn’t mean you’re worth less as a man, it’s simply a hobby that anyone can have, girls can also be into “boys” stuff like cars, which I am . This doesn’t mean they should be frowned upon.
An example on “girly” things doesn’t make you weaker is. Military bronies, they are grown men who are in the military and watch my little pony. They can fire guns, despite watching ponies. So no, girly things doesn’t make men less worthy, those are all gender stereotypes and they are pretty harmful, it’s not okay to hurt and harass people based on what they do in their free time, there are stories of bronies being bullied and kicked out of their home because they simply watched something they shouldn’t watch as a male.
Alot of women are into what people would call “boy things”. It can be anything from firing bows, to joining the military, should they also be kicked out of their homes and be harassed? No, then how come men should be if they decide to even think of doing anything feminine?
Some men will be into girly things, just like some girls are into boy things.
But why do we consider some things to be girly and for boys? Why should we exclude some people from doing a certain activity based on their sex and appearances? As I said before, military bronies are still manly and live up to what other men expect of them. So it’s okay to like things that are considered girly.
That’s why it’s okay to do your hobby and do as you want.
