Caelan: what makes him genuinely happy? Is it a place, person, or object? If he could have one wish come true, what would it be? Kai: what type of people does he idolize the most? Caelan:There is a certain person that he hasn’t seen in a while that genuinely makes him happy. They see each other once or twice a year, and its something he is always looking forward to.He will never, _never_ admit this to anyone, but if he could have one wish it would be that he never got on that first ship. That he found somewhere else to hide.Kai:He idolizes heroes, particularly knights and the like. He grew up reading stories of knights and paladins and always wanted to be one (sucks that ur a warlock now kid). Sairey is probably the one person the party has met that he absolutely idolizes. In the group, he looked up to Ida quite a bit. Current party members, he looks up to Siril.Man, Kai gets excited about everything. He loves birthdays and fruit the most I think.

God I can’t seem him NOT having a happy ending. I don’t think anyone would let that happen. Kai’s the kind of guy that everyone goes out of their way to keep happy because they can’t stand to see him cry.

23. Thoughts on death?

He’s terrified. He’s experienced a fair share of it from a very early age. There is obviously death on the farm, and that was really hard for him for a long time. Now that he’s older, animal death doesn’t shake him up so bad, and killing monsters isn’t hard, but people death is hard. Really hard. Being the one to kill Lady Rimeheart? He still kind of struggles with that. Ida dying shook him up a lot and it’s going to be a while before he stops panicking every time he loses sight of her, but he’s trying to keep that to himself because he knows it wasn’t Sirli’s fault and doesn’t want to make him feel worse about it.

He worries about his own death a lot, too. This is a dangerous life style. He’s done really really well to stay out of the worst of it and not get too hurt - I don’t think he’s gone lower than half health at all? But he knows it wont always be that easy.25. Favorite animal?

Warm...peaceful, like a log cabin- close to a city actually, but a bit out of the way. It has a window, and a fireplace, and a shrine...and it’s filled with people he loves.

Easy! Druidcraft! It’s not one your typical warlock has. Verenestra gave it to him special. He loves making the little flowers.

23. Thoughts on death?

It terrifies him. Every time one of his friends goes down in a fight, he panics a little. And then Ida dying? Made it more of a reality than a distant fear. It’s a real thing that could really happen, to any of them. He probably won’t say it, because he knows they have to, but he’s terrified to go back to that mountain.

Okay look I think we all know I based him off of Orpheus in like every way possible at this point, I even gave the shit head a lyre as one of his 3 instruments. Yes this was intentional.

He would lose his god damned mind fighting a hundred duck sized horses. He’d be laughing so hard he probably wouldn’t actually do much.

He tries to talk his way out of it, either going really heavy on apologies or flirting. Then duck and run.

10) What do they think of themself?

Initially, he was scared all the time, and that’s the part of himself that he focused on most. He wanted to be braver so he could get stronger so he could protect his friends. Fighting in that cavern with the marrow stalkers and the intellect devourers, he was so scared, but he let it fuel him. He held off the last 3 devourers from Ida and Aspasia, and it felt good to help like that, but Ida died. He did his best in there and Ida still died. He 100% doesn’t blame Siril, but he’s still struggling with just how everything went, and he’s scared to go back and finish what they were doing.

19) What would they like their mark in history to be?

The only books he had growing up were stories about adventurers and heroes who did good in the world, and he wants to be like that.
