Look at this adorable salamander I found the other day! I was lifting some cardboard in my yard to look for slugs and snails and was surprised by this orange friend. I'm not sure of the species but I believe it is a type of Brook Salamander which is the genus Eurycea.
After getting some pictures, I carefully put him back where I found him and was careful not to step on the cardboard he'd been underneath in case there were other friends under it. If you know salamanders, and recognize his species let me know! I found him in Eastern Tennessee.
