Dream did apologise for the tweet and "warcry" later (and later said that he does have a native American grandfather but doesn't consider himself native American). I think the important thing to note is that he's done a lot of stupid stuff, but pretty much all he's either apologised and learnt from or is overblown/not actually real, and mostly done out of ignorance (which isn't great, but all racism/homophobia/xenophobia is systematic and many have to unlearn that. Harder to do so in front of an audience of millions). I don't think you have to forgive or like him, but he's certainly not an evil 4chan nazi I've seen people claim him to be.
(I don't know if you care, but if you wanted to see a doc that lists out past controversies and provides screenshots and context here's one. Not necessary but it's good to have a full picture, https://docs.google.com/document/d/1k87HD83fNI0BmDCEY7LWBZP-BQ2DxRdSGi3XKZINkTo/mobilebasic )
God this got so long 😅 sorry about that
Okay, thank you for the info! I don't really spend my time on twitter or YouTube much so I don't ever really see this kind of stuff so this was pretty helpful
I'm not saying that what dream did is a good thing and all because its not (and yes, as you said he has apologized and all) but he's also done lots of good things and has helped others many times
Don't know if I'm ever still gonna write about him because this has just become a huge problem here
Honestly, and this isn't meant to be rude (but many people are probably gonna take it that way anyways), I think it's ironic how people take screenshots from way back when right after he face reveals yk? like everyone was fine (at least I think) until he face revealed, which is really funny to me
Overall I totally get what your saying and thanks for not being rude or anything about it, I never even knew half of the stuff I've been told before so this was a surprise, I really appreciate it anon, thanks again for being calm and collective about it :)
