Being on a college campus made Harriet feel both old and young at the same time, the blonde able to appreciate the good memories that came popping up every now and then but also able to recognize the obvious differences. Things had just changed- as were expected, but at least she was happy with the content she’d gathered after interviewing one of the professors, now all she had to do was sit down and actually write it all out.
Distracted by her phone as soon as she left the professor’s office, Harriet made her way through campus for a good two minutes before she was stopped by a group of students stepping out of their class. Stopping in her tracks, she let the last couple of kids walked past her before moving her feet again, letting her phone fall back into her purse. Smiling politely at what she thought was the the last student before pushing forward, Harriet frowned to herself for a moment and before she knew it she was turning on her heel and at a loss for words. Her mouth was open but no words came out when she stared right at Cameron, but soon a breathy laugh escaped past her lips. “Holy shit.” She didn’t put much thoughts into her words after that, “Cameron Brooks. As I live and breathe. In the flesh.”
