And, since today’s #marchlitwrit is for MC’s biggest fear, let me explain what he’s afraid of, which is a lot of things. He’s afraid he isn’t worthy of grace. He’s afraid his faith will never be strong enough, and neither will he. He’s afraid of letting others down, of not living up to their expectations. He’s afraid people will realize he’s not the brave, confident, powerful person he pretends to be. He’s afraid of being real, being true, because then he would be vulnerable. But his biggest fear is that he will never be enough. How can he be a superhero with all those fears? How can he not be? Bravery comes from learning to accept our fears, not eliminating them. If there was nothing to fear, there would be no reason to be brave. So, yeah, he’s a superhero.
