I DEFINITELY HC him as being asexual and arospec, either greyromantic or aromantic (maybe aroflux?). There wasn’t exactly a lot of romance in canon, but after re-reading the series knowing what those terms were I felt strongly that those terms would resonate with him. (Plus Ace siblings heck yeah).
I don’t have any concrete headcanons about his gender identity beyond what’s presented in canon, but that does mean there’s a lot of potential for him to figure out what his identity is!

Hello Mr. Harry Potter!
Steph tries to join us as much as she can, but for her it’s often a matter of when she’s able to join us. She doesn’t live in Belgium or indeed, our time at all, (our being the Captain and I) so travel is more difficult for her. Stephanie does her best to stay in touch with us, though, she likes be here to support us when danger presents itself.
She also says it’s a matter of if she can be useful on the trip, but I don’t agree with that. She’s always wonderful company to have, usefulness be forgotten.

I’m probably going to do this for all of my platonic f/os and my relationship with them in general! (so Pidge, Alfred, Margu, Tintin and Haddock)
Middlefinger: We’ll definitely fight every now and then (it can’t really be avoided) but we solve it by leaving each other alone for a while to be angry, then when we’re ready we talk it out. I don’t think I’ve ever fought with Margu (she’s a little kid after all), and Tintin and Pidge are pretty good at conflict resolution, as are Al and Haddock but they need a lot of time to let the anger run it’s course.
Group Hug: It depends, as all of the platonic f/os save for Alfred are long distance friendships/family ties, so Matthew really only sees them when he tags along with me on visits (as well as calls and video chats).
