the “I wanna snog that stupid look off your face and leave you dazed and too stunned to keep running your smart mouth with your glasses askew.” feeling.

but you know better than to say that out loud so you kinda just stare at him from across the room, the feeling growing stronger and stronger with each passing day.

you’re gripping your thigh under the desk and can hear your own heartbeat in your ears. the only thing that makes you angry is that you’re pretty sure stanford doesn’t even realize this.

and he doesn’t.

but only because he’s grappling with his own weird feelings regarding you which follows more along the lines of “I like to when you don’t let me get too smart and actually get in my face and tell me when I’m being a dick. You’re the realest person I’ve ever met and I don’t think I’d mind it too much if you knocked me on my ass.”

Okay as my treat today I did some sketches of teenage Brie and Fenton when they met in highschool!! The bebes...

Fenton was the perfect amount of extroverted and geeky for them to become close friends really fast! They spent every break together, hung out during Fenton's after-school activities whenever possible, and definitely had big fat crushes on each other that they were too shy to tell each other about! Maybe they got close once or twice, but that connection would be missed until they met again as adults through work! In particular, them both ending up being employed by one Scrooge McDuck!

then bashful smiles around the campfire late at night as food is enjoyed and laughter is shared among the party

you witness his bitter realization that no good deed goes unpunished

he hears your soothing whispers over his labored breaths when the reflection in the water didn’t look human anymore

then there’s encouraging pats and comforting words after a particularly gruesome run in with some gnolls

and you follow his unwavering footsteps toward the flames engulfing the inn

when you’re sitting down by the campfire long after everyone has retired for the evening, a warm hand is outstretched, a quiet invitation to dance

you accept and you’re pulled up, bowing to each other before you press your right hands together, taking a step backward then forward before letting go then doing the same with your left. you continue to dance together well into the night, bodies swaying to a rhythm known only to the two of you. the crackling fire and the underdark nature around you as your only music

his right hand gently hold yours as you kneel down together ending the dance

It’s happily ever after promised with a kiss and not even the absolute will be able to break it
