Corrupted Gem: Brown Aragonite
(( It is finally done. I have created my first Corrupted Gem.
This gem’s monstrous form was inspired by the Stygiomedusa Gigantea, a jellyfish whose tentacles can reach up to 10 meters or longer in length.
However, I might have accidentally made this variation of the jellyfish slightly too big? XD. Slightly might be an understatement. Oh well.

Corrupted Brown Aragonite
Located in the deep part of the ocean that surrounds Beach City, close to a sunken Gem Warship from the Rebellion.
It is unknown if this gem was a Homeworld Gem, one of the rebel Crystal Gems, or a random Earth/Ocean Gem prior to being corrupted.
The reason for Brown Aragonite’s corruption was the oil leaking from the wrecked warship. This is why the gem (located in the ‘bell’ of the jellyfish) is surrounded and covered in oil (it is not broken), and the claws are made of oil as well. This is also why, unlike most other corrupted gems, the coloring of this corrupted gem is more muted and dark, and not as colorful as some of the corrupted gems seen (like Watermelon Tourmaline and Centipeedle).
Has the shape of a species of jellyfish known as the Stygiomedusa Gigantea, unofficially known as the Giant Jellyfish.
Its tentacles are 10+ meters in length (Garnet was added to the picture to show size comparison), and the ‘bell’ (head) is slightly over 6 meters in length.
The attacks that this corrupted gem is known to use are swipes from its tentacles, attempted grabs, various oil attacks, and (since this creature lacks stinging cells that are found in normal jellyfish) squeezing or strangling attacks if a grab is successful.
It is very weak to being out of the water, as most of its body is made of water so it just kind of deflates and becomes very sluggish, unable to fight back. However, it still will try to defend itself using oil-based attacks.
Its theme is ‘ Amalgam ‘, which is the theme of the Amalgamates from Undertale.
Gemfacts: Aragonite is a carbonate mineral, one of the two common, naturally occurring, crystal forms of calcium carbonate, CaCO3 (the other form being the mineral calcite). It is formed by biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments. Aragonite's crystal lattice differs from that of calcite, resulting in a different crystal shape, an orthorhombic system with acicular crystals. Repeated twinning results in pseudo-hexagonal forms. Aragonite forms naturally in almost all mollusk shells, and as the calcareous endoskeleton of warm- and cold-water corals (Scleractinia). Several serpulids have aragonitic tubes. Because the mineral deposition in mollusk shells is strongly biologically controlled, some crystal forms are distinctively different from those of inorganic aragonite. In some mollusks, the entire shell is aragonite; in others, aragonite forms only discrete parts of a bimineralic shell (aragonite plus calcite). The nacreous layer of the aragonite fossil shells of some extinct ammonites forms an iridescent material called ammolite. Aragonite also forms in the ocean and in caves as inorganic precipitates called marine cements and speleothems, respectively.
