Today's pipe is my semi neglected Altinok meerschaum pipe I like this one but always get a bit put off by March Meer Madness I had one bowl of FVF earlier today and have just packed a second combo of Brown Bogie and Bacon Old Fashioned relaxing with some Famous Grouse while watching Enterprise

I've enjoyed quite a nice last day off, visiting with my mum and sister in town and then heading home to relax before I go back to work tomorrow. While in town earlier I enjoyed a bowl of Chocolate Flake in my Amorelli pipe. The top one in my photo. While pottering around after my tea I found my second pipe for today. The bottom pipe a T.Christiano Canadian was purchased on the Saturday of this years Chicago Pipe Show but has until today been neglected, I hadn't smoked it for some reason and it was forgotten in amongst my other pipes. When I found it I decided that a combination of Frog Morton and Brown Bogie would make a perfect first smoke tonight before work tomorrow.

Tonight’s pipe is from this years slow smoking competition at the Chicago show.

As a nice change for this shift I’m trying out an aperitif having part filled the bowl with Bacon Old Fashioned with a layer of Brown Bogie and topped off with more Bacon Old Fashioned.

The different layers cause quite a startling change but it’s quite a good combination for a dreary night shift.
