I just got reminded that even here on tumblr, being a brown chick isn't normal. Made a comment that was totally im line with my reality, and then someone assumed I was white and "therefore" Islamophobic.

I just love to be told that my south Asian culture is rude. I'm so happy (/s) that some people think it's important to tell me being a brown chick and enjoying or looking forward excitedly to some of my cultural heritage or traditions is problematic or wrong

Not everyone wants the same things, and it sucks when people try to tell me that wanting different things makes me "wrong"
