Neo does develop romantic feelings for Sora. However, because of their history, and because of his mindset, he is in denial of these feelings and never makes a move, wanting to just be there for her like if Serge was still alive.

Every now and then, though, he shows affection he doesn’t mean to, and at times finds himself kissing the top of her head, though he pats her head afterward to reinforce that he thinks of her as a little sister.

Sora slips between Mvevi tongue and “English” often due to habit after all the time she has spent with them and the Laceum. She is fluent in both.

She dances by herself a lot when she’s alone in a room.

Once she lives in The Capitol, she normally leaves her front gate open for neighbors to come in and enjoy looking at her flowers.

When she can use magic again, often times when Malakai visits her in The Capitol he is annoyed by requests to ask her to live with the Mvevi in the forest and become one of the “elders” like him. She declines each time, as he expects and is relieved to hear.

She has an admirer when she is working in The Capitol, a young man she had saved from a mugging a while back, and he respects and admires her greatly, following her footsteps into the Brigade and wanting to be like her. Sometimes, he can be a little overbearing, but she has a soft spot for him (he’s like a puppy in her eyes).

Tainted Amaranthian crystal is the only poisonous object that can make her feel unwell. Though she cannot die from it like others will when exposed to it, she can become incredibly ill.

Body Alterations;

Tod Yukimura’s super soldier project resulted in the following:

Resistance to extreme temperatures -- Sora is extremely tolerant of most weather conditions; she can stand in the snow in summer/spring clothes and not shiver. She can feel that it’s cold, but she isn’t affected the same way normal people are. The same applies to summer weather. If she wants to soak in a hot bath, it will need to be a little on the hotter side, but she will feel it after a while in there.

Difficulty becoming pregnant -- Originally this was meant to make her completely infertile, but due to being taken away before Yukimura could continue the experiment on her, instead her system was affected enough just to still be fertile, but suffer from extreme difficulty in conceiving. This was because Yukimura held the belief that the subject becoming pregnant would be a burden and wanted to make sure it did not interfere with results.

Enhanced speed and strength -- Inhuman would be somewhat accurate, but due to the experiments never quite being finished, she personally prefers describing it as ‘enhanced’ when the subject comes up. She moves far faster than the average soldier in addition to possessing much more strength. With this, she is also quite durable. Her pain tolerance is another story.      ▬It was intended to enhance her magic as well, but Yukimura was not able to continue the experiment.

Poison Resistance -- Meant to be a poison immunity. The real reason Sora takes a while to become drunk when drinking is because her body has a very high resistance to toxins. Eating poisonous mushrooms by accident? She is fine because of this.

Sped Up Recovery -- Partly due to her relation to Krustallos, her body recovers from injuries slightly faster than the average human.

Heterochromia -- She was born with green eyes, but was a carrier of the gene for blue eyes due to her mother. The experiment caused a mutation in the genes that resulted in the color of her right eye shifting to blue. Fortunately, she does not suffer from any vision impairments.

Gifts of the Goddess

Following the experience with Krustallos, the goddess left THREE gifts for Sora: Atropos, Clotho, and Lachesis.

They are all weapons with different abilities that take different forms when not in use.

Atropos → A sabre that inflicts death upon its target or drains the user’s energy in exchange for power. When not in use, it takes the form of a gold circlet.

Clotho → A rapier that restores energy to the user with each use in order to balance the drain of using Atropos. It is normally in the form of a gold ring upon Sora’s finger.

Lachesis → A claymore with the ability to either slow down or stop a target’s movements once hit. When she does not wield it in battle, it takes the form of a gold bracelet.

Of the three, Sora incorporates only Clotho and Lachesis in her everyday attire and keeps Atropos hidden away. That isn’t to say she is always without the weapons; other times, when not in use, she keeps the weapons stored away with her Skygem and summons forth the weapons with magic. This is why, though she appears unarmed many times, she is actually ready at a moment’s notice to fight.

Post timeskip, Sora is pretty much back to her former self, but she still keeps people at arm's length out of a persisting fear of attachment. She doesn't mind being around people and socializing, but there's still a small fear of becoming attached to someone she may never see again, so she has a bit of a hard time letting herself become emotionally connected with anyone. While she is much more open, it takes just a bit more effort from the other party if they want to be closer to her. Patience is always key.

She would like to get over this fear, but one step at a time.

It’s time for talks on Sora’s canon, boys and girls. Today/Tonight the question I’ll be working on is as follows:

Sora isn’t semi-immortal right? She’s powerful but not immortal-ish despite her link to the Goddess? And wait..... Does this mean Sora technically is like the Avatar and goes through rebirths :u

In Broken Sonata 2, Sora is established to be a part of the goddess, Krustallos. Allow me to elaborate on this.

She is, essentially, the emotional (Pathos) part of Krustallos that was cast away in order for the Goddess to remain a neutral being. With her role, allowing her emotions to get the best of her would interfere with the Threads of Life she weaves, and so she split that side of her away and cast it into the womb of a mother not yet realizing she was pregnant with child again, this mother being Naoko Yagami, the mother of Sora and her sister Ruby. In a sense, Sora’s connection to the Goddess was all by chance.

This said, though, Sora herself is still very much human, but her spirit is another part of Krustallos.

Because of this link, it is actually why, during Sora’s younger years, she was very adept at learning magic. She was known to be especially talented for a human mage, much to a great many’s surprise. 

However, she is not immortal. She can still die from fatal wounds, she can still age, etc., etc. That is, unless she becomes whole with Krustallos or merges with another side the Goddess had casted off (to be written on in another post another time). Going off that scenario, dying will become the least of her worries, as she would heal quickly, but it would heighten the loneliness she suffers from already as it would mean she is completely different from those around her.

On the topic of Rebirths, Sora herself does not go through rebirths, but Krustallos would likely just transfer her spirit into another like she did with Sora once the woman’s time came (if it ever comes, depending on circumstances mentioned above).

Even when given this new revelation, Sora refuses to acknowledge it initially because she strongly believes herself to be her own person, that after so much time despising herself, there was no way she could possess a predetermined life. She did not accept this fact and insisted she was not Krustallos, but simply herself. Goddess or not, where was the actual Goddess during her time of need? If she controlled Fate, why couldn’t she save her family? Questions she knew she would never receive answers to. Granted, part of her refusal to acknowledge this stems from her Agnostic views as she neither believes nor disbelieves in the existence of deities. To be told one day she is one herself, it clashes with her previous decisions to continue this view.
