"Bruce, it's been too damn long -- is that any way to treat your best friend? I'd think I deserved a warm greeting, maybe a kiss on the cheek at the very least."

28: Eskimo Kiss
Christmas had passed, New Years was over. Yet, Tommy prolonged his vacation in Gotham. He insisted it was just — he needed a break. He rarely had them. Bruce knew better though, but Tommy could stand it so long as it was unspoken.
Thomas was still somewhat worried about public appearances. He settled for long glances, lingering touches, friendly displays of affection… Just for now. He needed time to adjust before they could publicly date. That’s what he told Bruce (Tommy wondered if he should bother keeping that promise if he simply wanted to kill Bruce, but that internal battle would last for a while).
This day was no different, and they were on the town as friends (friends didn’t touch like they did, hug like they did, kiss in private like they did). The two walked, something they figured would keep the press from noticing them. It worked well enough with how bundled up they were — winter’s in Gotham were damn cold. Of course, when it rained, they had to run for cover in the park in an alcove from the path. They would have to wait it out.
"We have terrible luck," Tommy observed, looking up at the sky. He was shivering, no longer used to the cold weather Gotham provided. Bruce laughed, and joked about how he had been spoiled with warm weather. Tommy shoved him, annoyed, but promptly pulled him close for warmth. "I went for the job mostly, not the location. I’ve been there for a while."
Bruce smoothed back some of Tommy’s hair that had gotten fussed over time, now dripping water on his face. “Too long.”
Elliot narrowed his eyes at Bruce. The topic of moving back to Gotham had been breached before, but he didn’t understand how Bruce could be so insistent upon it. Surely it would just mean more of this game where they pretended to love each other. He wouldn’t be the one to give in though, so he was considering it. This was more important to him than his job.
Wayne closed the space between them, rubbing their noses. No kisses unless Tommy okayed it, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t provoke it. The other relaxed, hugging him close. They stood still together, allowing time to pass in silence, enjoying each other’s presence and warmth while resting foreheads together.
"I’ll do it," Thomas said.
"Hrm?"
"I’ll move here," he answered quietly. "Back to the Elliot Estate."
He wasn’t allowed to deny the kiss Bruce gave him this time, public or not. The playboy wanted to convey how much it meant to him that Tommy would make that sacrifice. They both knew Bruce would never leave Gotham. It was his home.
Tommy allowed him the kiss, and reciprocated just as lovingly. Maybe he could afford to go public with their affection too.
It was just a part of his plan, right?

Helix had always been an openly affectionate person, doling out her touches liberally. There were those who would say that cheapened it, but she thought that to be one of the heights of foolishness, that anyone could try and decide for her, what her kisses were worth. She was comfortable with smooching Bruce on the cheek for his compliment, knowing that he was not such a person.

[text: Bruce] Do you care about me?
You're the best, Alice. I /think/ something was put in my drink because I shouldn't be feeling it this bad. I didn't even have- ugh. [He held his head with a frown.] -BruceHatesBats
She frowns, taking a step away nervously.
"A-are you going to be o-okay, sir? Should I call for someone t-to take you to the hospital instead?" What if she makes the wrong choice and something bad happens to him? She'd hate for him to get hurt and it be her fault...
