❛ Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate. ❜
The Khajiit rose a brow.
“I’m aware. I’ve heard that rocks are all the rage in Skyrim. Especially if they sparkle a little in the sunlight.”

❛ Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate. ❜
The Khajiit rose a brow.
“I’m aware. I’ve heard that rocks are all the rage in Skyrim. Especially if they sparkle a little in the sunlight.”
“You were right, love. I think I’m gonna make it!”
Halldis let out a soft sigh of relief. Despite assuring him that he’d be fine, in truth she had not been so sure. Healing was not something she was overly good at, but she had done her best. After pausing to look at the wound again, she gave a nod, “The bleeding has slowed quite a bit, that’s good.”
It was awkward helping such a large person hobble down the road, and he might have managed on his own, but it seemed best to offer what little help she could, “We don’t have to go much farther...my friend has a little house up this way, she’s a healer. She should be able to fix you up better than me...i-if she’s home anyway...”
“I have a weapon! You just better announce yourself!”
“U-Um...sorry,” Halldis called, scrambling out from behind some brush, “I wasn’t trying to sneak up on you or anything, I promise.”
Agatha, who had finished in the bushes, appeared, kicking her hind feet as she left the little pile behind. The Nord smiled sheepishly, and gestured at the pup, “I was just walking my dog...she likes to hide when she does her business.”
❛ They’re safe ❜
The Khajiit twitched, lifting his head up in brief alarm before a huge yawn, exposing his teeth with a brief flash of teeth and curl of tongue. He licked his lips afterwards with a drowsy sniff, adjusting his arms into a more comfortable fold.
“Mn?”
“I think you’re wrong. I think boring’s the worst.”
“So, being boring is worse than being selfish? Or greedy? Or hateful?” Halldis challenged, eyes narrowing at the Orc. She scoffed, and rolled her eyes, “I’m not convinced that’s so...but whatever you say.”
❛ They’re safe ❜
It had seemed doubtful for a moment, given the sound of crashing glass which came from inside the crate as it fell, but at Brugo’s reassurance Braskan heaved a sigh of relief. It didn’t last long. Moments later he was snatching the box back and cradling it in his arms.
‘Good. Ya know how hard it is ta get some a’ this stuff in Skyrim? Too bloody hard, tha’s how. Don’ go kickin’ boxes what doesn’ belong ta ya in th’future.’
❛ Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate. ❜
‘Then ya won’t be mindin’ if I takes some a’ yer silver ‘n gold fer meself, will ya?’ Luca prodded her dagger forwards, not quite touching Brugo’s leg. ‘Seein’ as how ya gots all these other treasures.’
“But you don’t go out there. It’s dangerous.”
“Of course I’m not going to go out there, how stupid do you think I am?” Halldis scoffed, rolling her eyes. The bag that had been slung over one shoulder was lifted, and set on the ground. As nice as it might have been to get closer to the mammoths, doing so would not be wise. She was perfectly content to sit up on the overlook -- where it was unlikely that she would be stomped to death -- and watch from a distance.
“I like it better up here,” she said, sitting down next to her bag, “The view is nice, don’t you think? Even without the mammoths.”
