Brunch || Georgie + Nico
As Georgie was driven to Al’s, she had a few things running through her mind. She’d only met Nico the once, but it seemed their texts from an hour earlier left her with a lot of questions about his life. Why did he not think school was an option for him? He had been in a claim, so what had happened there and what had it been like? Still, even with those questions bouncing around, she knew she couldn’t dive straight into that. At least, not before he’d eaten a bit and they’d chatted about the more trivial things, like “how was the claim ceremony?”, “who did you dance with?” and of course, a few things about herself as well.
Aldo pulled the car over as they reached Al’s and she thanked him. He reminded her he’d be nearby if she needed, which she agreed to before reminding him she was meeting someone from the Watch. It set him more at ease, though she knew he still wouldn’t go further than a block, ‘just in case’. Hopping out of the car, she checked her phone, noting she was ten minutes early, so she headed in and got a table for two near the window.
