The Grave of the late Pehin Datu Panglima Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Awang Jambol, located at Sugan Muslim Cemetery, Pekan Tutong, Tutong District. Pehin Datu Panglima Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Awang Jambol (1897–1976) was an influential aristocrat, civic leader, and civil servant from Brunei's Tutong community. He was born in Kampung Suran in 1897, and though he lacked a formal education, he carved out a successful career in governance starting in 1929, later rising to the position of Tutong District Officer. Between 1953 and 1954, he played a key role in Brunei's political development as a member of the Tujuh Serangkai committee, traveling to both towns and villages to gather citizens' views on the upcoming constitution.
In recognition of his services, he was first granted the title of Pehin Penyurat, and was later elevated to Pehin Datu Panglima on 5 September 1974.
