3, 14, and 22 (for the musical ask)
another ask!!!! YES!! than k you friend
3. Who was your first Broadway crush?
ooh good question, hm…this is hard bc i had never really been into Broadway Broadway until high school (despite being super into musicals in general)…but I’d have to say, minus Daniel Radcliffe, that Christian Borle was my first real Broadway crush. I loved him as Emmett Forrest in Legally Blonde and I followed his work after that for a few years, from Peter and the Starcatchers to the Live! musical specials they had on abcfamily/Freeform. (or I mean if you count the first time I saw The Lion King I loved the guy who played Simba so–but that’s a different kind of love i was like in first grade pfft)
14. A musical you would love to see produced by Deaf West?
(un momento as I look up Deaf West lol) AAHHH the folks who did Spring Awakening!! oh yeah that looked really cool. Heck yknow I’d like to see anything that’s not X-rated. Yeah, I’d be up for it. Hmm a specific musical produced by them? Like an existing one? :I hmm… Well I have a deep love for Seussical, having been in it twice, and it’s a fun, zany kind of ride that I think could be interesting if they produced it. (idk if that’s what the question meant lol but there you go)
22. Which Disney movie should be made into a musical?
Oh man oh man ohhhhhhoooo man. Let’s see, which ones are already taken first…Tarzan, Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Peter Pan, Cinderella, I think Frozen????, and I’m drawing a blank on any others– I don’t count Into the Woods, though I could lol
hmm….what’s been popping into my head as I read this question has been Lilo and Stitch, Princess and the Frog, and Atlantis. (despite there being no songs I think it could work well on stage!)
Out of those three the best suited would probably be Princess and the Frog since, it actually has songs of musical variety more than one, and more than Elvis songs. And as much as I would like to see a stage adaptation of Atlantis, it’d probably be better as a play than a musical, considering the tagline “less singing more explosions”. anyway. i’m rambling.
Thanks so much for the ask!! :D
