What a night! A two Michelin star experience in Brussels on the top of one of the tallest buildings in the town! Only 9 tables in total, Villa in the Sky is a fantastic restaurant with unbelievable food and a fabulous wine list! We had the best Riesling I’ve ever had to start (from Alsace), then a very unique and earthy delicious Pinot from Burgundy, a surprising Monastrell from Cataluña, and a PX from south of Spain for dessert. Tim and I ate in here in January after reading about it in a guide book. Quite difficult to find if your not a local. First impressions were excellent, it's a nice looking restaurant that leaves you expecting a lot. Sommelier really was excellent. However, although this on paper, should be a 4* restaurant, I would rate it 3*. Decor, service and food were all pretty good but I had to drop a star based in the fact I waited 1 hour, 20 mins before I was served any food. My meal arrived at 10.45pm by which time, we'd finished a bottle of wine, had gone past being hungry and couldn't appreciate the food as much as we should have. If coming here, book in advance and get an earlier seating otherwise, like is, you'll be leaving at midnight

We visited Brussels for the weekend in January and found this restaurant via trip advisor. Hard to find but totally worth it. This is a fun little restaurant where the food is good and the portion size generous. I had a goats cheese toast for starter which was easily plenty big enough for a main meal and then followed with a fish burger that I couldn’t finish because the starter was huge! The bloke had the soup and the meatloaf, which again was a large portion. Slightly overpriced if compared to good burger restaurants at home but the service was excellent and I would visit again. Not quite 4* but definitely 3.5*. Pictures of food are uploaded a few posts ago!
