The value of an animal
I often hear people talking about the value of animals, assuming that human lives are more.
I remember even at a very young age I never liked hearing those words. I would wonder how they knew that to be true.
how did they know that their lives are worth more?
My dog Bitsey lay beside me while I type this, I can look into her eyes and see her worth and I don't feel it any less than mine.
she gets scared, she loves, she worries, she takes care of me and I take care of her, how is she any different then me?
She may look different than me, and can't speak any language I can understand, but we are the same.
the next time you see a spider crawling along beside you... think to yourself, I wonder if the little creature may be scared?
I wonder if he may be trying to get somewhere, and I just happen to be in its way.
most of us kill the little creature without any remorse what so ever, and while we don't even notice a change in our day for this act, we may just have killed a living creature that is very aware of what we have done.
Let the spiders run I say, let them live another day!
Take a jar and let them free, one day that little soul might thank you for your compassion.
not in this life and this carnation, but maybe the next.
