davina still loved her more than she cared to mention. but it was easier to keep that hidden away, locked deep down inside so that nobody could use it against her. they had been divorced for months now and her head hurt from all of it. their daughter still asked when they were going to live together again and honestly, davina could cry. it was a night like this, after a dinner at a friends, wine and smoke in the air, when they sat too close together and it really did feel like everything was okay. it felt like they were still in love and happy and nothing could ever get to them. davina had never even been with anybody but her and now everything was a mess and ruined and her heart hurt. but she was good at faking it. her fingertips brushed lightly over the others arm and davina smiled happily, a little drunk from the wine and a little hazy from the smoke. “rosie’s looking forward to spending the weekend with you, you know. i mean, she wants you back home, but she’s really looking forward to going camping. won’t stop talking about it.” // @brutedivine
