xavier wasn’t the biggest fan of new years eve and the whole kissing thing. mostly because he never actually had anyone to kiss. that, and, when the clock hit midnight, it was officially his birthday, and his birthday was never a good time for him. this year, however, he had someone to kiss and people to celebrate his birthday with. and it would be better. he was entirely caught up in watching his husband, beer in hand, as he spoke to someone. xavier was normally caught up in watching eddie, there was nothing he liked more. when he heard the countdown starting, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes. he leaned forward and rested his chin on eddie’s shoulder, wrapping his arm around his middle. “how about we just freeze time and stay like this forever? that’d be nice.” in all honesty, he just didn’t want to get any older. the countdown was only on 3, but he didn’t want to wait the extra few seconds to kiss his husband. he reached up to turn eddie’s head to face him and pressed a sweet kiss to his mouth. as everyone continued the countdown and cheered when they hit 1, xavier and eddie had discarded their beers and turned to face one another, hands wandering and the kiss deepening until it was just breathy moans against each other’s mouths. “i don’t want to turn 35,” he said with a pout. it was answered with another kiss.
