Tomorrow March 15 is #BrutusDay
March 15th- Brutus Day
Beware the Ides of March. Julius Ceasar didn't, and he ended up betrayed by his bezzie mate, ol' Brutus.
The folklore goes that a soothsayer told Caesar his downfall would occur no later than the Ides of March (which generally falls on the 15th). On the day itself, Brutus saw the seer and commented "The Ides of March have come". The canny soothsayer replied "Aye Caesar, but not gone". And, well, you know the rest. The day ended up with what is probably where the phrase 'backstabbing' comes from.
So today, apart from learning this story and a little more about Brutus, I kept a close eye on my friends- you never know what they'll get up to...
Tomorrow- Lips Appreciation Day!
