it was far longer than thirty minutes but surely the other knew it would be. rafe was never punctual, call it fashionably late he would always say. he knows the way and where to find his ex, at the back of the house in the hammock. he doesn’t announce his arriving anymore than the low rumble of his engine which is cut as he parks, and he walks back. there are not many spots around the home that aren’t flooded with memories, but that damn hammock would be fun to face again. smith would be fun to face. “ one non booty call candy gram delivery. “ he chimes as he approaches the hammock, a shallow grin coming to his lips.

                  ever  loud  and  overly  emphasized  is  the  younger  as  he  pushes  through  the  front  door ,  announcing  his  presence  as  per  usual .  the  groan  echoes  out  from  him  ,  fingers  tugging  at  tie  that  is  looped  around  his  neck .   “  remind  me  why ,  “   he  calls  out ,  wandering  corridors  until  he  finds  him ,  his  tall ,  and  handsome .   a  pout  comes  forth  upon  cherub  features ,   “  remind  me  why  ,  “   he  repeats .   “  i  decided  the  buy  the  casino  instead  of  just  spending  my  days  here .   lounging  in  bed  with  you ,  a  true  trophy  husband .  why  ?  why  did  you  let  me  do  that ?  “   hands  drop  from  the  fiddling  of  his  garment ,  to  start  on  the  buttons  of  white  shirt .   clothes  very  unlike  him ,   but  the  meeting  called  for  something  other  than  red  satin  .    “  here ,  “   his  tie  is  taken  again ,   offered  to  dreas  .   “  take  this  off  me ,  tie  me  to  the  bed ,  have  your  way  with  me  and  then  never  let  me  leave  again .  “

a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar, doe like eyes are round as he spins around toward the other. consequences, while always considered ( at least lightly ), were never something he had dealt much with in the past ---- considering how often the earth shifted beneath his feet. now, he is caught in the headlights and he can’t shake the stupid look off his face. clearing his throat, a sheepish smile touches his lips.  “ . . . what are the chances we don’t tell lorenzo ‘bout this? “
