There was some commotion in the town of Hammelburg. Well, those things tended to happen when secret military plans went missing out of nowhere. Rob sped up his steps. If he could just disspear in the crowd that would do, he thought while the papers he was hiding  felt like they wanted to burn a whole into in his chest pocket of his jacket. Hot stuff. Important stuff. Worth the risk. 

Except then there were shots fire and suddenly he was running. Running was always a bad choice, made one look guilty, but when Rob had a gun pointed in the vague direction of his back he liked to be on the safe side of surviving. 

The option to run was ended fairly abrubtly by a sharp pain his his thigh. One of the bullets at hit, at least straifed, and it hurt like hell. The pain he tried to continued to put weight on his ingured leg made Rob go cross-eyed and he stumbled into an ally-way off to the side of the road in hope to at least hide only to bump right into a person.

John appeared on a sidewalk. He glanced around, frowned at his wrist, and tapped on his glitching vortex manipulator, but it was no use. Maybe it just needs a rest. To recharge or something. He can always call TB or the Doctor with their TARDISes to get him out of here if it doesn’t start working again, but for now he should at least find out where and, more importantly, when he is. But with it glitching the way it is, he really could be anywhere and anywhen. He walked up to the first person he saw. “Er– This might be a strange question, but could you tell me where we are and what year it is?”

It was the perfect day to be out in Regent’s Park as the soft summer breeze rustled the leaves on the trees and caused ripples and little waves on the water. Some people passed by, walking, jogging, and chatting, others were sat on blankets or lay sunbathing in the warm grass. Others still, however, were just taking in the atmosphere and not up to much else at all.

This seemed to be the case to the newest arrival to the park as someone else sat at the other end of the bench. That is, however, until she began to speak.

“I do like the hair. And the new face is nice enough,” she admitted, as if in response to a question that hadn’t been asked, not making eye contact, but instead fixing her gaze on the water. “Though I can’t say I’ve ever heard of a celery stalk boutonniere before. Much less seen one.”

She turned to face him at last, unable to hide her smile anymore.

“But it is you, isn’t it? It’s always you.” Romana would recognize him anywhere-- even without the question-mark shirt that he had had in his previous regeneration that, if anything else, was a dead giveaway.

  That otherworldly stare had a way of getting Zora into some trouble from time to time. It was annoying that when they zoned out - if their eyes happened to land on someone, it would come across as ...rather unsettling potentially.

Surrounded by research on art styles, they had just let the imagery drift through their mind. It was only after a few moments that they registered the person before them.

They responded with a bit of a sheepish smile. “... I appreciate you not being too upset with me. I really didn’t mean to stare. As for help? I guess I was interested in learning about unusual art styles. So if you know anything about that, I’d love the assistance.“
