Inspired by the piracy measures taken by Greenheartgames’ “Game Dev Tycoon” we discuss game piracy and its effects on the video game industry at large. We also delve into the gray area of video game historical preservation vs piracy, and how the problems of illegal downloading and DRM for paying customers could be fixed in the future.
