it took over a year, but i guess the Fuller curse finally kicked in and i would like to thank not only god but also jesus. i hope that post-mortem, this show’s corpse gets treated with more respect than what Fuller gave his fridged women.

Also Fuller justifies some of the violence against women because omg look at this bitch, look how stupid or annoying she is, and basically the whole fandom agrees with them because ahahah omg what a great joke!! Mainly Will assaulting Freddie for no good reason other than Fuller and the fandom getting a kick out of it, and also Will gaslighting Alana for half of the season, and then both magically forgive him because of the whole

Yeah, I mean my hate for Moffat knows no ends and I hope everything he touches dies, but his writing is not that much worse than what’s plagued Hollywood for years. Fuller’s violence against women is so much more disturbing because his work is deemed ‘sophisticated’ and ‘complex’ (lmao as if he’s anything else than a mediocre white boy who tacked on badly-researched mythology and shit)

Do you believe Fuller is as bad as Moffat when it comes to dehumanizing women and enjoying the pain he inflicts on them?

give that he’s been posturing as a feminist and is even hailed as such by large parts of the fandom and critics, I’d say he’s even worse because people refuse to actively criticise him. 

but also, Moffat’s women are mainly just badly and shallowly written and constantly dismissed/defeated by men or their emotions for men (I haven’t watched Doctor Who in years and I don’t touch Sherlock with a barge pole) but Fuller actually goes into full on detail in showing us cannibalised corpses of women’s bodies displayed as “artistic” and “beautiful”. Moffat’s misogyny is oppressive, but Fuller’s treatment of women is violent bordering on fetishistically so.

Hannibal: a very feminist-friendly show

Abigail: probably dead Alana: manipulated by the men in the show, arguably raped Bedelia: gone Bella: terminal illness, manipulated by the men in the show Beverly: dead  Freddie: unknown, maybe dead Margot : had her sexuality erased, was abused by her brother Miriam: was manipulated, kept in captivity abused, used and lost her arm thanks to the men in the show As you can see this is a very female-friendly show. And I'm not even talking about the fact that the only CONFIRMED death of a main female character in Hannibal was the one of a WOC. No, because race and gender have nothing to do with anything. Is all in our heads.  *sarcastic laughter*
